welcome back. howard here with your weather first. want to show you the radar we. have moderate snow from around leesburg and sterming through upper -- sterling through upper montgomery county. this will stick to the roads a little bit. we could end up with an inch in spots before this is out. there are areas in frederick county out into the mountains of west virginia, northern virginia that are seeing some accumulations on the road so be careful. >> i can't wait to do this story. thanks, howard. many skins fans of course are jealous. a lot of ravens around here too. they're in the super bowl and the skins are not. there are diehard fans out there who are so connected with their teams, that a loss feels personal to them. are you one of those people? i could be that way with my patriots and my uconn huskies and a lot of us in our newsroom are like this. we have a husband and wife, one is a ravens fan, another a

skins fan. we have a mental health professional here to talk about why we get so invested. how does it go in your house? you obviously have opposing teams to root for. say the ravens lost this season to -- who did they lose to? >> the redskins. >> oh, that must have been a fun time in your house. >> yeah, it was. >> do you take it personally? does it affect your relationship? >> i was grumpy. we went to the redskins-ravens game. my daughter and my husband stopped talking to me. >> they stopped talking to you? >> stopped talking to me at the game. >> do you find it carries over to the next day? you go to work, grrr. full disclosure. our executive producer in your -- producer is in your spin class and you take it out on them. >> i take it out on them, exactly. that day i came in and she was

game, if the redskins were doing well, his striatum would light up. if we drew your blood while watching the game, both of you, your testosterone levels would go up and the cortisol levels would go up. those protect your sense of self-esteem. so there is actually brain chemistry. >> we identify physically with the teams. we're not pudding on pads. i feel that way about my college basketball team so i totally understand. how do you cope with it? what do you do? >> yell at people. i work for myself. very my own business so it's pretty easy. i don't have a spin class but i take it out in other ways. >> how do you cope with it? >> i get along fine. he's the one. he's been doing it since he was 8 years old. he's very passionate, his entire family. they're just mean. yes, i've said
